Debbie Necker, a mother of 3 boys herself, wants children and parents to play when they visit Necker’s.
With developmentally appropriate play areas all around the store meeting the needs of different age groups,
adults often times end up playing with their children while searching for the perfect toy or gift.
“If a parent gets their child a toy that they can enjoy too, they’re going to play with their child longer. I think it’s important to
have a common activity you both like since kids grow up so fast and you don’t have a whole lot of time to share in play.”

Infant / Baby
Our infant toys are soft, gentle, simple, big, bulky and with few small pieces. Toys with mirrors help strengthen the muscles of your child's eyes and encourage a sense of self. Rhythm instruments assist in learning cause and effect building fine motor skills, and teething toys and rings encourage the very basic beginning self-help skills.

Toddler toys are durable and without small pieces or choking hazards. Encourage spatial awareness in your toddlers with wooden puzzles and toys. Durable picture books encourage pre-reading skills while 'push-and-pull' toys assist with walking skills. Engaging in high interest 'Play Areas' builds social skills through interacting with others and promotes critical thinking.
